Course Reserves

Instructors may place materials on reserve in the Mathematics Research Library for 400 level and above classes in:

Reserve materials for lower division classes should be sent to Odegaard Undergraduate Library Reserve. Exceptions may be made for small 300 level classes. OUGL Reserve is open longer, and thus serves undergraduates better than we can.

Loan periods may range from 2 hours to 7 days (168 hours), but in Math are usually 4 hours for textbooks, and 24 hours for supplementary materials.

Books, journal articles, media, personal copies, and electronic materials may be placed on reserve. Consult the Libraries' Course Reserve page for specific information.

The Library will process and maintain all reserve materials, but instructors may also choose to manage their own electronic reserves. Using the self-management option gives instructors greater flexibility and materials can be put on reserve more quickly. Consult a step-by-step tutorial at http://www.lib.washington.edu/services/course/Managing_eRes.pdf. We can provide personalized assistance if needed. The Libraries strongly encourage instructors to consider self-managing their own reserve lists.

To place material on Reserve:

Reserve lists for the Mathematics Research Library should be submitted as soon as possible! Please use the web form to submit lists of materials.

Instructors may also submit a list by email, mail, in person or by phone. Each request should include at a minimum:
