Converting Your RefWorks Account to UW NetID

UW Libraries switched over to using UW NetIDs for RefWorks accounts in January, 2008. The following instructions describe how to convert your existing RefWorks account so that it uses UW NetID login. You will only have to follow these steps once.

• Log in to RefWorks using your UW NetID and password.

• From the screen that comes up, click on the link to "Automatically Login to your RefWorks Account from your University".

  

• On the next screen, fill in your OLD RefWorks login in the Login Name box and your OLD RefWorks password in the Password box. Enter the security code shown into the 3rd box and click on the "Register" button.

  

• You should now be logged in to your RefWorks account. The next time you log in to RefWorks using your UW NetID, you'll be taken directly into your account.
