UW Libraries Catalog & Summit Catalog
- Conduct your search.
- Select the records you want to export by clicking the checkbox to the left of each citation.
Make sure you click the Save Marked Records button before navigating to the next page of results.
If you want to save the record for an individual item in the UW Catalog, click the Save Record button at the top of the page.
- Click the View Saved Records button at the top of the catalog window.
(In the Summit Catalog, this button is labeled Export List).
- From the Format of List options on the left, select EndNote/RefWorks.
- From the Send List To options on the right, select Screen.
- Click the Submit button.
- Highlight all the text on the page (a quick way to do this is to hit Ctrl+A on your keyboard) and Copy it by pressing Ctrl+C.
In RefWorks:
- Log in to RefWorks if you have not already done so.
- In the toolbar at the top of the page, click on the References menu and select Import.
- On the Import page, select Innovative Interfaces (Endnote/RefWorks Format) from the Import Filter/Data Source drop-down menu.
- Use the Database drop-down menu to select University of Washington Catalog.
- Select the option to Import Data from the following Text.
- Paste (Ctrl+V) the text you copied into the window provided on the Import screen.
- Click the Import button.
- Your records will appear in the Last Imported Folder.
