Shadows of the Truth: the Archaeology of State Terror in Guatemala, is the title of a new exhibit in OUGL, second floor north, February 1 - March 1, 2001. The exhibit is a moving display of photographs and other items documenting the rich culture of Guatemala's Mayan peoples, and the impact of state-sponsored violence in the 1970's and 1980's. Sponsors of the exhibit are Dr. Vincent Phillips, Odegaard Undergraduate Library, UW Latin American Studies Program, and UW Human Rights Education and Research Network (HRERN).
