Western States and Territories Preservation Service
Provides disaster assistance and training to libraries, archives, historical
societies and cultural institutions in the Western and Pacific states and
territiories.
Seattle Alliance for Response
A Heritage Preservation Alliance for Response Forum was held in Seattle on June
15, 2006 at the Museum of History and Industry. The Forum brought together
represenatives of cultural heritage institutions, emeregnecy managers, and first
responders to explore new ways of working together and understanding and
communicating priorities.
Washington State Preservation Initiative
The Washington Preservation Initiative, a Federal LSTA-funded initiative,
assists libraries of all types and sizes
in preserving collections of materials with significant historical or cultural
value thereby assuring long-term access to these collections.
The Initiative funds preservation workshops that are free to Washington
library staff members and a preservation grant program.
