Preservation and Conservation Studies
At University of Texas at Austin School of Information. The only formal full-time library preservation
and conservation certificate program in the U.S.
Some other schools offer a preservation concentration within their library and information science programs (University of Pittsburgh and Simmons College, for example).
North Bennett School
The only full-time bench bookbinding program in North America. Two-year program.
Rutgers University
Has a certificate program in Preservation Management.
Four art conservation programs include paper conservation, photograph conservation, or conservation of library materials:

Has a new program in photographic preservation and collection management offered
in conjunction with the George Eastman House.
Tisch School of the Arts, NYU
Has an M.A. program in Moving Image Archiving and Preservation.
George Eastman House
Has a certificate program in film preservation. Located in Rochester, NY (the home of Kodak).
UCLA Moving Image Archive Studies Program
Includes a preservation component.

Awards a Master's degree in Archaeological and Ethnographic Conservation.

University of Chicago Library. The Mary and Samuel Somit Preservation Internship
The Internship is intended to provide firsthand experience and a broader understanding of the care and treatment of library and archives materials in an academic library. Graduates and currently enrolled students of a recognized library or conservation program; or students (graduate or undergraduate) with equivalent experience and training in preservation or book conservation are eligible. Applicants must commit to six consecutive weeks of full-time work or a schedule that is mutually agreeable. The 2006 Internship provides a $3000 stipend. A final project report is required.
