Pg 97 of the 1953 Tyee

THE WASHINGTON ENGINEER is a semi-technical magazine published by the Engineering Students' Council. Written and organized entirely by engineering students, the magazine appears six times during the school year. Articles published are selected from material submitted by these students at all levels.

THE WASHINGTON ENGINEER is staffed each year in the spring from the ranks of the College of Engnieering. Now in its fifth year of publication, the magazine has become a necessary part of the life of many of its lower campus readers.

The Engineering Student's Council is the link between upper and lower campus in student government. It is composed of the president, and a junior and senior representative from each of the student branches of the national professional societies, two sophomores, one freshman, the editor of the Washington Engineer and the president of Tau Beta Pi.

The principle activity of the Council is the biennial engineering Open House. It also publishes the Washington Engineer.
