Through the years its members have brought honor to Lambda Rho by their many outstanding achievements in the field of art. Although it is a local organization, it has become national in a sense through its members who established themselves throughout the United States. In the Northwest probably the majority of women who have attained notice in the field of art were once members of Lambda Rho. Members is open only to those women majoring in art at the University of Washington who have a high scholastic record. The faculty of the school of art is also eligible for membership

Alpha Delta Sigma, men's national professional advertising fraternity, is designed to "bridge the gap" between advertising theory and experience. Classroom training is supplemented by Contacts with advertising practitioners and the working advertising world, both on and off the campus. Membership is based on aptitude, leadership, and advertising as a career. Chapter activities include the annual Agency Banquet to which all professional advertising men are invited, talks and panels by prominent advertising men and field trips to local advertising departments. Alpha Delta Sigma provides a campus advertising service open to any organization that wants ads or advice. The Washington chapter is named in honor of the late Robert W. Jones. Vernon R. Frost, Director of the School of Communications, is Western Regional vice president and Clyde Robinson, Director of Publications, is the faculty advisor.
