Tape recorded interview conducted by Howard Droker in 1982. Accession also includes a genealogical note and clipping.

Alhadeff escribes the growth of the family businesses which included Palace Fish and Oyster Company, Whiz Fish Company,and ABC Pacific. He discusses his father's (Nessim "Sam" Alhadeff) participation in Ezra Bessaroth and reminiscences about his early life including the Yesler Way neighborhood, social life, and his education. He also talks about how he was one of the first Sephardic Jews to attend Temple De Hirsch Religion School, to pledge Zeta Beta Tau, and to marry an Ashkenazic woman. He recalls his feelings in those situations, especially about being depledged at ZBT.
