Advance Request Form

Historic Architectural Drawings Collection

The University of Washington Libraries maintains an archive of more than 350,000 historic architectural drawings which are made available to the UW community and the public.

Our goal is to provide access for researchers while protecting these materials for use by future generations. Because many of the drawings are fragile and need special care in handling to reduce the potential for damage through use, we require that drawings be requested in advance of your visit.

Please contact Special Collections at least three weeks in advance of your planned visit. If the drawings are determined to be especially fragile, we may require an appointment for you to safely view the drawings.

Please fill out this form to place architectural drawings on hold. A staff member from Special Collections will normally respond within 5 business days.
