Census watch
Provides access to information about Census-related data resources, redistricting, GIS online mapping, training opportunities, and news reports
China in time and space (CITAS)
"China in Time and Space (CITAS) is a project to create and maintain databases of spatially- and temporally-referenced data on China. CITAS aims to provide access to a wealth of contemporary and historical information on China at minimal cost to scholars and other non-commercial users. The project utilizes state-of-the-art geographic information system (GIS) technology to integrate tabular and vectorized map data. An unusual aspect of CITAS is its emphasis on the temporal dimension: one project goal is the capability of reconstructing Chinese administrative geography for specific historical dates, and the ability to compare spatial data at two points in time, whether over years or over centuries."
Coastal and Marine Geology Program internet map server
Digital elevation data catalogue
Catalog of available elevation and bathymetric data, together with a section on available software for the display and manipulation of these data
Earth resource permit locations
Provides access to mapping of oil and gas exploration drillhole locations and surface mine reclamation permit sites. This application allows the user to create, save, and print custom maps, find out more information about map features, and download data for use in a geographic information system (GIS)
Earth science data interface
Web application for searching, browsing, and downloading data from GLCF's online holdings
EIM Environmental information management
Search over 1.7 million environmental records on Washington's air, water, soil, aquatic animals, and plants from over 10,000 monitoring locations throughout and adjoining Washington State. Access data from over 400 studies including information about where samples were collected, study details, and data quality

Fish Passage Center
The Fish Passage Center provides technical assistance and information to fish and wildlife agencies and tribes, in particular, and the public in general, on matters related to juvenile and adult salmon and steelhead passage through the mainstem hydrosystem in the Columbia River Basin. The Fish Passage Center (FPC) coordinates the Smolt Monitoring Program (SMP), and data from this program is intended to provide the information basis for federal, state and tribal recommendations for anadromous fish passage in the Federal Columbia River Hydro-electric System (FCRPS). The FPC web site provides data on salmon, steelhead, bull trout, and lamprey throughout the FCRPS. In addition to SMP data, the FPC web site provides data and analysis for the Gas Bubble Trauma (GBT) program, the Comparative Survival Study (CSS), adult migration, environmental conditions, hydrosystem operations, hatchery releases, and spawning and emergence for certain groups of anadromous fish
Fisheries inventory
This site contains standards and data-entry tools for freshwater fish and fish habitat inventories, digital base maps, and fish and fish habitat database queries. It is primarily aimed at fisheries inventory contractors, government biologists, and fisheries researchers; also includes FishWizard, a map display tool to access some of the data available at the site
GeoBase building on common ground
GeoBase is a federal, provincial and territorial government initiative that is overseen by the Canadian Council on Geomatics (CCOG). It is undertaken to ensure the provision of, and access to, a common, up-to-date and maintained base of quality geospatial data for all of Canada. Through the GeoBase portal, users with an interest in the field of geomatics have access to quality geospatial information at no cost and with unrestricted use
GeoConnections discovery portal
GeoConnections Discovery Portal is a gateway to millions of geospatial data products worldwide. Enables users to browse or search metadata records by subject, coverage or product type

Mapping resources
National historical geographic information system NHGIS
The National Historical Geographic Information System is a project to create and freely disseminate a database incorporating all available aggregate census information for the United States between 1790 and 2000. The data being incorporated into NHGIS covers social and economic topics, such as income, education, labor, housing, elections, religion, and agriculture. When complete, NHGIS will provide data for various levels of geography
National Wetlands Inventory
Includes links to the Interactive wetlands mapper site which allows users to download and print maps and database files. Also includes directions for procuring printed maps, and other information about the center and it's activities
navigatOR--Oregon's GIS utility
