New to Academic Library Research?

Research 101 is an interactive online tutorial for students who are new to complex academic research. It covers different types of sources, information cycles of production and distribution, how to select a topic and develop research questions, and how to search for information sources and evaluate what you find.

Media & News Sources About Your Case Study

Newspapers, news magazines, and other mass media can provide vital information for your research - the who, what, where, and when of an issue or event.

Think Critically About Objectivity in News Sources

Background Information on GMOs

Genetically Modified Foods is a huge topic and vast amounts of information are available. To develop your presentation and paper, you must narrow focus on some aspect of this issue. A quick scan through some of these sources can help you get an overview of this enormous issue and choose the aspect of it that you wish to investigate in more detail. These can also help you identify terminology used to discuss the topic (which you can use to search other databases) and often provide citations that can jump start your research.
