Biological atlas of the Arctic Seas 2000 plankton of the Barents and Kara Seas /
Presented are physical and biological data for the region extending from the Barents Sea to the Kara Sea during 158 scientific cruises for the period 1913-1999. Maps with the temporal distribution of physical and biological characteristics of the Barents and Kara Seas are presented. Changes in the plankton community structure between the 1930's, 1950's, and 1990's are discussed. Multiple tables of Arctic Seas phytoplankton and zooplankton species are presented, containing ecological and geographic characteristics for each species, and images of live cells for the dominant phytoplankton species.

Coastal and marine geology program internet map server
"usSEABED provides data on sediment and rock distributions in the waters off the United States ... The datasets of usSEABED currently hold georeferenced point data for more than 300,000 data sites in U.S. waters from the beach to the deep sea, rivers, lakes, and estuaries ... The usSEABED database incorporates a wide variety of information about: seafloor sediment texture, composition, and color, biota and biological effects on the seafloor, rocky areas and seafloor hardness, seafloor features, such as ripples, seafloor acoustic properties, sediment geochemical analyses, and sediment geotechnical analyses."
Conservation geoportal
"The Conservation Geoportal is a collaborative effort by and for the conservation community to facilitate the discovery and publishing of geographic information systems (GIS) data and maps, to support conservation decisionmaking and education. It is primarily a data catalog, intended to provide a comprehensive listing of GIS data sets and map services relevant to biodiversity conservation. The Conservation Geoportal does not actually store maps and data, but rather the descriptions and links to those resources, known as 'metadata.'"
GTOPO30 - Global 30 Arc Second Elevation Data Set
GTOPO30 is a global digital elevation model (DEM) with a horizontal grid spacing of 30 arc
NOAA ENC direct to GIS
"The NOAA ENC Direct to GIS web portal provides comprehensive access to display, query, and download all available large-scale NOAA ENC data in a variety of GIS/CAD formats for non-navigational purposes using Internet mapping service technology. Nautical chart features contained within a NOAA ENC provide a detailed representation of the U.S. coastal and marine environment. These data include coastal topography, bathymetry, landmarks, geographic place names, and marine boundaries."
