The atlas shows the geographical distribution of global catches (by weight) of principal market tuna species and some billfishes. Maps are divided into three sections, each associated with a major fishing gear (longline, pole and line and purse seine). For 1993, 1994 and 1995, the distribution of annual catches is presented separately for each year. To show a historical perspective, the distributions are also shown for 1964-1966, 1974-1976, and 1984-1986

E-Flora BC electronic atlas of the plants of British Columbia
Using a comprehensive GIS-based format, E-Flora BC provides detailed biogeographical, ecological, and taxonomic information on both vascular and non-vascular plants of British Columbia. For each species, E-Flora BC presents additional key information through deep links to other existing databases that provide critical botanical information, such as the International plant names index, the Fire ecology database and Flora North America. For both vascular and non-vascular plants, the atlas includes an image bank for BC species. Photographs provided on the atlas pages act as portals to an image collection for each species, and to the overall image bank
EarthNow! Landsat Image Viewer
"Animated, same day view of satellite imagery. Landsat satellites provide a means for measuring the change in the amount of healthy vegetation, extent of damage and rate of regeneration following a forest fire, and various other applications of interest to professionals in the defense and agriculture industries. Since the launch of Landsat 1 in 1972, these satellites have continuously monitored the Earth. The USGS currently operates Landsat 5 and Landsat 7. These satellites contribute over 400 images per day to the EROS data archive. The EarthNow! Landsat Image Viewer displays the images in the 5, 4, 3 (Red, Green, Blue) band combination for both the TM and ETM sensors."

GLOBIO mapping human impacts on the biosphere
"The GLOBIO consortium has developed a global-scale spatial model of the impacts of environmental change on biodiversity. The model is designed to produce policy relevant indicators for use in assessments, scenario exercises and exploration of the impacts of policy options. The main indicator produced is the mean abundance of the original species belonging to an ecosystem (MSA): that is, the abundance of native wildlife."
