In April, Dean Betsy Wilson sent a letter to all faculty regarding the serials review process we are undertaking to meet the Libraries' 12% budget reduction. In order to meet this budget reduction the library will be reviewing journal subscriptions and monographic series for probable cancellation. The cancellation target for the sociology collection fund is $8,400. This represents approximately 19-20% of our annual expenditure on serials subscriptions. I have prepared a list of proposed cancellations for sociology. Please take a look at the list and send me any comments on any of the proposed titles. I have identified titles for cancellation beoynd the $8,400 target so there is some room for changes in the final list. Links to more information:
