Information Research Strategies in Sociology

We live in an increasingly complex information society that demands high expertise in finding and using information and technology. In this course, you will gain valuable information problem-sovling skills: defining information needs and locating, evaluating, and presenting information. The course will explore major information research tools in the discipline of Sociology, develop strategies for using both print and electronic sources, and discuss the changes technology is making in Sociology publication. The skills and concepts that you master in this context can be applied to all subject areas and information problems.
