CNN World Report Television Archive at Texas Tech University
"In 1991, the School of Mass Communications and the Cable News Network joined in a project to house the week-end CNN World Report, a program series in international electronic journalism unique in the cable/broadcast discipline. The archive has complete video holdings for the weekend CNN World Report from its inception in 1987 to present. "

Political Commercial Archive
Maintained by the University of Oklahoma's Political Communication Center, the archive contains more than 56,000 commercials that "date back to 1936 for radio and to 1950 for television and represent candidates running for offices ranging from the U. S. Presidency to school boards throuoghout the United States. The archive also contains commercials by political action committees, advertisements sponsored by corporations and special interest groups on public issues, and commercials done for elections outside the United States."

UW Restricted Television News Archive
Search this database for materials in the Vanderbilt University TV News Archives. "The collection holds more than 30,000 individual network evening news broadcasts and more than 9,000 hours of special news-related programming including Nightlines since 1989. These special reports and periodic news broadcasts cover presidential press conferences and political campaign coverage, and national and international events such as the Watergate hearings, the plight of American hostages in Iran, and the Persian Gulf war."
