Finding Journal Articles

Use these databases to find articles about your topic:

  • If the full text of the article is not available in the database, search the UW Libraries Catalog for the title of the journal to see if we have it available online or in print in the library.

  • If the journal is not available online or in print,get a copy of the article for free through Interlibrary Loan.
    • Paper village 2 - UW restricted
      Databases include PaperChem, a comprehensive bibliographic database covering international journal literature related to pulp and paper technology.
    • CAB Abstracts - UW restricted
      Applied life sciences, including agriculture, forestry, and the environment. Forestry coverage includes global forest and wood science research. For full subject list see Database Coverage.
    • ABI/INFORM trade & industry - UW restricted
      Trades and industries such as telecommunications, computing, transportation, building and construction, petrochemicals, etc

      Search this to find books held in libraries around the world.

      You can borrow books from most libraries for free using the UW Libraries Interlibrary Loan service. Click the "Current UW and Cascadia Students, Faculty, & Staff" link to log in. It takes about a week for the books to arrive, depending on where the library is located.
