Available on computers in Mary Gates Hall, Odegaard Library, the Access+ computers provided in several campus libraries, and on the computers in the Geography Collaboratory Smith 415. A Student's Guide to the Medical Literature
Intended to support an evidence-based approach to medical treatment. Provides a tutorial on how to critically read medical literature, glossaries, and calculators to determine statistical significance in research results.
Resources marked UW restricted can be accessed by UW-students, staff and faculty from off-campus - see Connecting From Home or use the Off-Campus Access button at the top right of this (and every) library webpage.
Books that are unavailable in the UW Libraries can be requested through Summit, a shared catalog of college and university libraries in Oregon and Washington. Delivery in 3-5 business days.
Articles in journals unavailable at the UW can be requested through Interlibrary Loan (UWorld Express). The current average time for receipt of photocopied materials is 6 days. (as per the ILL FAQ.)
