Dorothy SmithDigital Reference Librarian Email: dsmith@u.washington.edu Dottie Smith is responsible for supporting the Department of Linguistics by purchasing library materials related to the curriculum and faculty research interests. She provides reference and research services to students, faculty, and researchers, and teaches classes in research methods. As Digital Reference Librarian in the Reference & Research Services Division in Suzzallo/Allen Library, Dottie coordinates schedules and trains librarians and staff in virtual reference (chat and e-mail questions). She participates in the UW Libraries virtual reference collaborations with other libraries and institutions, such as our national 24-hour academic library cooperative, QuestionPoint (OCLC and the Library of Congress). |
