Judith HenchyHead, Southeast Asia Section Email: judithh@u.washington.edu Judith Henchy has a BA in Southeast Asia History from the School of Oriental and African Studies, London University, an MLIS from the University of California at Berkeley, and an MA and Ph.D.from the University of Washington History Department. Judith's research is on 20th Century Vietnamese intellectual history. She is familiar with French and Vietnamese languages. Judith is responsible for selection of materials for inclusion in the Southeast Asia collection, and all reference and library instruction work associated with the collection. She works in close collaboration with the Southeast Asian Studies Center of the Jackson School to promote Southeast Asian studies and the collection, both on the campus and in the community. Judith maintains active contacts with libraries and cultural institutions in Southeast Asia and manages a project with the National Library of Vietnam to microfilm early Vietnamese print resources in that library. She also manages the listserver for the Vietnam Studies Group of the Association for Asian Studies, and maintains the Group's web site. Webpages: Class Help Pages: |
