The purpose of the Endowment is to supplement the Libraries' collections related to book arts and all elements of the physical book including but not limited to medieval manuscripts, early printed books, the history of printing and publishing, the history of illustration and Book Arts.

This endowment was established by various donors, book art lovers, and book artists.

About endowments
An endowment is a permanent fund of support for which the principal of the gift is invested and grows over time. The endowment makes distributions on a quarterly basis to support the purpose specified. The endowed fund can be named to honor a special person or specific area of need for the Libraries.
