Parents Collections and Programs Endowed Fund

students studyingThe purpose of the Endowment is to provide support for the University of Washington Libraries. This endowment will augment the libraries collections of books, periodicals, media materials, and programs designed to enhance the educational experience of the University's approximately 30,000 undergraduate students.

This endowment was set up by the UW Annual Giving Council through funds from the Parents Giving Program. It is the University's intent that distributions from the endowment be used at the discretion of the Dean of the University Libraries, or his or her designee, to benefit the Libraries.

About endowments
An endowment is a permanent fund of support for which the principal of the gift is invested and grows over time. The endowment makes distributions on a quarterly basis to support the purpose specified. The endowed fund can be named to honor a special person or specific area of need for the Libraries.
