Electronic Reserves
Returning Reserve Material
When the library is open, reserve items must be returned to the desk where the items were checked out. After hours, books may be returned to the outside book drop of the library where they were checked out. Items returned to other UW Libraries will not be checked in until they reach the library where they were checked out. This can take several days. During this time fines will be charged.
Accessing Reserves Information
Course reserve lists may be found in the UW Libraries Catalog under course name and the instructor's last name.
Responsibilities of Patrons
Patrons are responsible for knowing when reserve items are due and for understanding the Libraries' fine and circulation policies.
Renewing Reserve Material
Renewal: Reserve books cannot be renewed by phone, email, or on the web. Reserve materials must be returned when they are due. Some units will allow users to check reserve materials out again immediately if no one is waiting. Ask about this at the library you are using.
