U.S. Antarctic Research atlas of Antarctic research
"A joint effort of the USGS National Mapping Division and the National Science Foundation United States Antarctic Program. The U.S. Antarctic Resource Center (USARC) is located at the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) in Reston, Va. It maintains the nation's most comprehensive collection of Antarctic aerial photography, maps, charts, satellite imagery and technical reports. The USARC collection includes materials produced by the following Antarctic Treaty nations: Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Chile, China, Ecuador, Finland, France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, the Republic of Korea, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Peru, Poland, the Russian Federation, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, the United Kingdom, the United States, and Uruguay. The USARC is the United States contribution to the SCAR Library system and is managed through an interagency agreement with the National Science Foundation which provides support to the USGS for scientific activities in Antarctic and in support of the U.S. Antarctic Program. " |

"UKborders provides digitised boundary datasets of the UK, available in many Geographic Information System (GIS) formats (MapInfo MIF/MID, ArcView Shape, Arc/Info Export and several others), for teachers and researchers in the UK Higher and Further Education community to download and use in their work. There are many digitised boundaries available. The main group of boundaries available correspond to the various levels of 2001 and 1991 Census geography which are designed to be used for spatial visualisation and analysis of Census statistics. Also available are environmental boundaries from various sources and historic boundaries created by the Great Britain Historic GIS Project, based at Portsmouth University." |

"The Works Progress Administration (WPA) Digital Archive provides 345 hand-colored maps from the 1933-39 land use survey of the City of Los Angeles. The maps, which are from the Huntington Library's collection, are divided into 10 books, each corresponding to a geographic region within the City's 460 square mile boundary. The maps identify whether land was vacant or used for commercial, farming, residential, industrial, manufacturing, or recreational purposes." |
