Subject Searching (cont'd)

Look at the subject headings for one good source

Another way to find subject terms on your topic is to do a keyword search and find one good source on your topic. Look at the subject heading or descriptors. Find the subject headings that best describe your topic and do searches using those subject headings.

Suppose you did a keyword search using the terms "Egypt and France" and "colonialism", and found this citation shown to the right.
