AssignmentLibrary workshop assignment 1. What is the name of the country you will be researching? 2. What is the question you will ask about your country? 3. Use the UW Libraries Catalog (start at www.lib.washington.edu) to find books on your topic. Write down two books that look relevant (these should be in addition to the books you found for your Week 2 assignment). For each book write down the author(s), title, publisher, place, date, UW library location, and call number. For each source, write a sentence or two about how you plan to use it in your research. 4.Use Historical Abstracts to find scholarly journal articles on your topic. Start at www.lib.washington.edu and click on Databases & Catalogs. Then go to Historical Abstracts. (If you decide to use a database other than Historical Abstracts, explain why.) Write down three journal articles that might help answer your research question. Write down complete citations (author(s), title of article, title of journal, date, volume number, issue number, page numbers). Where can you find the full text of the articles? Use the UW Libraries Catalog, click on Journals and search by the title of the journal to find out if the journals you need are available in print in the UW Libraries or online. After the citation for each journal article, write down which library has the print journal and/or whether the journal is available online. For each source, write a sentence or two about how you plan to use it in your research. For a list of some other sources to consult in your research, see Selected Resources for SIS 201, under the "Sources" tab (above), and Dr. Migdal's Recommended Bibliography on your course web site
