Joseph and Jill McKinstry Libraries Endowed Fellowship
UW Libraries offers a unique fellowship to MLIS students at the iSchool that combines a scholarship with a paid work experience in the University Libraries system. The successful fellow receives a scholarship and an assignment in a University Libraries unit(s) based on the recipient's interests.


Internships allow selected candidates to further their education in a hands on setting. When offered, internships may be open nationally, or restricted to select educational programs. Classified and Professional Staff Positions

Senior Conservator for Books and Paper
The Senior Conservator plans, documents, and performs complex item-level conservation treatments on both bound and unbound special collection materials, including rare books, manuscripts, prints, maps, and drawings on paper or parchment. Open until filled.
Student Supervisor, Branch Operations Services
This position, in coordination with other members of the Supervisory Team, coordinates and manages the administrative supervisory functions for student employee hiring, training, payroll processing, scheduling, and maintenance of payroll records. Maintains the daily operations and stacks activities for the seven branches within Branch Operations Services.
Collections Coordinator, Account Services
This position advises current and prospective patrons of borrowing privilege eligibility and appropriate fees. Notifies patrons of fines, book replacement charges, and fees and informs patrons of possible library sanctions. Recommends appropriate course of action for patrons with past due accounts. Determines accounts to be placed in the collections process and processes accordingly. Provides support to other functions as required, including processing of appeals of library charges. Closes 8 February, 2023.
