18.5 hours per week

Monday, 6:00 p.m.-10:00 p.m.; Tuesday, 6:30 p.m.-10:00 p.m.; Wednesday, 7:00 p.m.-11:00 p.m.; Thursday, 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.; Sunday, 6:00 p.m.-10:00 p.m.


  • Staff the Entry and Information desks
  • Perform basic circulation processing tasks
  • Shelve and shift materials
  • Inventory the collection; search for missing volumes; and retrieve library materials
  • Maintain routine statistical records
  • Receive, unpack, sort and deliver mail, gifts and other items
  • Assist in routine marking and processing of library materials
  • May assist in opening and closing procedures of library
  • Assists with ID checks and security walkthroughs
  • Other duties as required


Required Qualifications:


      • Able to work the days and hours of the specific shifts indicated
      • Excellent attendance
      • Customer service experience
      • Detail oriented
      • Able to work independently with minimum supervision
      • Able to communicate and explain complex procedures clearly, both in person and over the phone

        Desired Qualifications:

        • Previous library experience
        Other Job Details:
        • Must be able to begin immediately
        • Required to work during finals week and on holidays Odegaard is open
        • Must be available to work two consecutive quarters
        • Able to work a minimum of 10 hours per week but not more than 19.5 hours per week for all campus jobs
