6-10 hours per week, schedule to be arranged.

Duration: Project completion date is 30 April, 2019, exact job end date to be determined


  • Manual data entry of activity and evaluation information from National Network of Libraries of Medicine (NNLM) regional offices and members
  • Extract relevant information from NNLM data warehouses (SurveyGizmo, NLM reporting system).
  • Data wrangling: clean and format raw CSV (comma separated values) data to prepare datasets for analytics and visualization in Excel, Tableau, and other software and platforms
  • Work directly with NNLM National Evaluation Office (NEO) Project Manager to prepare data for client-facing reports
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
  • Experience with Excel, including the creation and manipulation of formulas
  • Detail-oriented
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong ability to problem solve and effectively communicate technical issues in person and in writing.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Interest in or previous experience with relational structures and creative data visualization techniques
  • Comfortable working with large-scale data architectures with multiple databases and schema
  • Enrollment in Libraries and Information Science or related program, or equivalent experience.
