Hours/Schedule:

10-19.5 hours per week. Opening, closing, and weekend shifts

Duties:
  • Staff the Entry and Information desks
  • Perform basic circulation processing tasks
  • Shelve and shift materials
  • Inventory the collection; search for missing volumes; and retrieve library materials
  • Does routine filing in alphabetical or numerical order
  • Receive, unpack, sort and deliver mail, gifts and other items
  • Assist in routine marking and processing of library materials
  • Keeps routine statistical records
  • May assist in opening and closing procedures of library
  • Assists with ID checks and security walkthroughs
  • Assists the unit with projects that impact users and the department (as assigned)
  • Other duties as required

Required Qualifications:

     
      • Detail-oriented
      • Customer service experience
      • Able to work independently with minimum supervision
      • Able to communicate and explain complex procedures clearly, both in person and over the phone
      • Able to work on holidays Odegaard is open and during finals week

        Desired Qualifications:
        • Has excellent attendance
        • Previous library work experience
        • Able to work Summer and Fall quarters

        Governor Inslee’s Proclamation 21-14.2 requires employees of higher education and healthcare institutions to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 unless a medical or religious exemption is approved.
