Update on Tateuchi East Asia Library Closure

UPDATE: May 1, 2023-- The Tateuchi East Asia Library (TEAL) is closed to the public through May 14, 2023 due to the ongoing renovation project. The library will reopen with limited hours starting May 15th. Check TEAL hours pages for the most current information.

During the closure, all material in the TEAL reading-room will be inaccessible. This material includes the reference collection, the circulating collection in the call number range A-BL2765, and current periodicals. TEAL Auxiliary Stacks are also closed for relocation between December 2022 and February 2023.  Collections in TEAL Auxiliary Stacks are not accessible during this period. For renewals of the materials already checked out before the library closure and the Auxiliary Stacks relocation, please contact TEAL Circulation at uwlib-ealcirc@uw.edu.

Material in TEAL general stacks in Gowen Hall that are not shelved in the reading room will be available for request and pick- up at other campus libraries. Faculty can also request delivery via campus mail to their offices. TEAL will not offer Winter or Spring course reserves, and TEAL reference and consultation services will be mostly online.

For questions, please contact your TEAL subject librarians,  or email: uwlib-ealcirc@uw.edu.
