Many graduate students imagine eventually turning their dissertation into a book but are unsure of what may be involved or how to begin. Join UW Press editors Lorri Hagman, Ranjit Arab, and Regan Huff and UW Libraries' Tim Jewell for an overview of academic book publishing and a discussion of how successful books differ from dissertations; what presses do; how to identify and approach an academic press; and emerging topics such as e-books and open access. Graduate students, junior faculty, and other interested members of the UW community are welcome. The session will be recorded for those who are interested but unable to attend.

Seating is limited, so please RSVP
