Access+ Workstations

The UW Libraries has software available for you to use when creating your next digital scholarship project.  Computer Workstations are available to faculty/students/staff with UW NetID login. Provide access to:

  • Email & Internet
  • Virtually all databases and online resources licensed by University Libraries
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access
  • Additional software and hardware

Learning and Research Commons (LARC) is the hub of support for all members of our campus community for teaching, learning, conducting research, and using technology to support all of these endeavors. Metadata Guidelines

Metadata helps you describe your content in a way that helps people find it.  Find metadata guidelines for mounting digital collections using CONTENTdm software, a display system for digital collections used at the Libraries.

Software for the UW (UWare)

Create digital scholarship projects any time, any place from your own computer.  Download software at reduced or no cost, thanks to various license agreements with software vendors.

Student Equipment

UW Information Technology (UW-IT), Classroom Technology and Events (CTE) , and Health Sciences Academic Services and Facilities (HSAS&F) in conjunction with the Student Technology Fee Committee (STF) and the Services and Activities Fee Committee (S&AF), are pleased to offer technological equipment for free loan to students.
