COVID-19 Update: All library buildings are CLOSED until further notice.

During fall quarter, September 29, 2021 through January 1, 2022, no group visits will be allowed and there will be no tours or orientations for K-12 visitors.
Individual students are welcome to visit the Libraries.  Check with AskUs Services staff regarding libraries' hours and restrictions for visits to Special Collections and the Microforms & Newspaper collections.

Be sure to fill out the Planning Your Visit form prior to your visit to the UW Libraries.

Planning Your Visit

  • Fill out the Planning Your Class Visit form.
  • Consult with your school librarian to prepare your students for their research visit.
  • Have students do preliminary research at your school library.
  • Have your students use the databases available via local public libraries.
  • Have students find library materials in UW Libraries Search so that they come here with a list of books, library locations and call numbers. Use optional handout.
