Student Computers
Workstations require log-in with UW NetID.
Locations: All Libraries branches.
Provide access to:
- Email & Internet
- Virtually all databases and online resources licensed by University Libraries
- Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access
- Additional software and hardware

UW Student Technology Loan Program (UW STLP)
UW students can make an online reservation to borrow a laptop or tablet computer.
Software for the UW (UWare)
UW users can download popular software at reduced or no cost
Library Workstations
Workstations with only access to Libraries resources, no log-in required; see details on Guest Research Stations. Generally provided for use by visitors or for quick access to Libraries resources.
Wireless Access
Wireless Internet access is available on all three UW campuses and in all the libraries. Log-in with UW NetID or Eduroam participation is required.
Printing & Scanning
Provided by Creative Communications
Payment for Printing:
- Husky Card for UW students, faculty, & staff
- Dawg Prints card for non-UW users
Scanning options:
- To a USB (flash drive - cannot be Mac-formatted drive)
- To a print station
- To email (non-UW users should ask staff for a Temporary NetID)
- To mobile device
- To Google Drive
- Accessibility
- Adjustable height tables
- Option to scan as searchable PDF file (OCR)
- Option to scan text to mp3 audio file
- Optional foot pedal to activate scanner
Mobile/Wireless printing: To print from a mobile device, you must have a UW NetID.

- Print jobs can then be retrieved at any Dawg Prints location
